Beef Skewers with Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1.5 cm fresh ginger
  • 50 ml Mirin (sweet rice wine)
  • 5 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp peanut oil
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 600 g beef fillet

Instructions

    Peel the garlic and ginger. Press the garlic into a bowl and add finely grated ginger. Mix with the remaining ingredients. Rinse the beef, pat dry, trim, and cut lengthwise into thin strips.

    Place the beef strips in the marinades so they are fully coated, cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Drain the beef well and thread it onto oiled wooden skewers in a zig‑zag pattern. Grill the skewers over high heat, turning each side for about 3 minutes until cooked through. Serve immediately.
