Beef Goulash with Paprika

Ingredients

  • 300 g onions
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 kg beef shoulder
  • 3 Tbsp pork lard
  • 3 tbsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp caraway seeds
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 l meat broth (from the jar)
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 1 orange bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Peel and finely chop onions and garlic, sauté in lard. Wash beef, roughly cube it, and brown portions in lard. Add all meat to a pot, add onions and garlic, sauté, sprinkle with paprika. Season with salt, pepper, caraway, stir in tomato paste.

    Pour in meat broth and simmer covered over low heat for 1 hour. Halve the bell peppers, remove seeds, wash, slice into strips, fold in, and simmer another 30 minutes, seasoning heavily. Wash parsley, finely chop, and sprinkle over the beef goulash with paprika before serving.
