Ingredients

  • 500 g beef (top sirloin)
  • 2 limes
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 dried chili pepper
  • 10 g ginger (1 piece)
  • 4 onions
  • 500 g broccoli
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1.

Rinse the meat under cold water, pat dry and slice thinly.

  2. 2.

Press the limes for juice and mix with soy sauce. Crush the chili pepper, peel and finely grate the ginger; combine both with the lime mixture.

  3. 3.

Toss the meat in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  4. 4.

Meanwhile, peel and halve the onions, cut into fine slivers. Clean and wash the broccoli, break into small florets and boil in plenty of salted water for about 8 minutes until al dente. Remove, shock in cold water and drain.

  5. 5.

Take the meat out of the marinade and drain it. Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a pan. Sear the meat portions over high heat for about 3 minutes each; set aside.

  6. 6.

Heat the remaining sesame oil in the pan. Saute the onions over medium heat until translucent. Add the meat and marinade, simmer for 3 minutes over high heat. Add the broccoli, stir to warm through, season with pepper.
