Ingredients
- 1 loaf of white bread (or 4 rolls)
- 250 g blueberry jam
- 5 eggs
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 250 ml milk
- clarified butter (for frying)
- powdered sugar (for dusting)

Slice the bread into 2-3 cm thick slices. Spread jam on half of the slices and top with the remaining slices.

Beat the eggs with sugar and milk. Heat clarified butter, then dip each Bavesen in the batter, let excess drip off, and fry in hot fat until golden brown on both sides. Drain on kitchen paper and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
