Ingredients

  • 28 Heuschrecken-Krebse (or Kaisergranat as substitute)
  • Barbecue sauce (ready-made, preferably from an organic store)
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

    Add the crabs to boiling water and cook for about 8 minutes. Drain, twist off the tail section from the body, then remove the relatively thin shell and the intestine.

    Brush the cooked tail meat all over with barbecue sauce, place on a heatproof plate, and sprinkle with rosemary. Slide under the hot oven grill for about 2 minutes, then season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
