The Banana Kale Smoothie by Spoonsparrow is quick to make and boosts the immune system with plenty of vitamin C.

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas
  • 150 g kale
  • 20 g ginger root
  • 300 g dark berries (e.g., blackberries, gooseberries, blueberries; fresh or frozen)
  • 100 ml blackberry juice
  • 1.5 tbsp honey
  • 0.5 organic lemon (juice and zest)

Instructions

    Peel the bananas and cut into small pieces. Strip the kale of thick stems, wash, dry, and tear into large chunks. Peel and chop the ginger. Wash the berries.

    Combine everything with blackberry juice, 300 ml water, honey, lemon juice and zest in a blender and puree until smooth. If desired, thin the smoothie with a little more water to taste and pour into four glasses.
