Ingredients

  • 8 tomatoes
  • olive oil (for greasing the pan)
  • 8 spring onions
  • 2 fresh garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 400 g smoked tofu
  • 1 Tbsp freshly chopped thyme
  • 60 g grated cheese (e.g., Gouda)
  • chili salt

Instructions

    Wash the tomatoes, cut off a lid from each and scoop out the flesh. Place them in a greased baking dish.

    Preheat the oven to 180 °C with fan‑forced heat.

    Wash and trim the spring onions, slice into rings. Peel the garlic and thinly slice it. Sauté both in hot oil for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Dice the tofu and mix with thyme and cheese. Season with chili salt and fill the tomatoes. Replace or cover the lids and bake for about 20 minutes.
