Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 400 ml Vegetable broth
- 120 g grated cheese (e.g., cheddar or Emmental)
- 2 egg yolks
- 500 g corn kernels (frozen)
- pepper from the mill
- nutmeg
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

Peel and finely dice the onion. In a hot pot, sauté in butter until translucent. Stir in flour and gradually add cream while stirring. Continue to stir, pour in broth, and let the sauce simmer creamy for about 5 minutes.

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) with both top and bottom heat.

Remove sauce from heat, fold in half of the cheese, egg yolks, and corn; season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Transfer to a gratin dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve sprinkled with parsley.
