Ingredients

  • 500 g plums
  • 1 untreated orange
  • 10 g ginger
  • 50 g Brown sugar
  • 100 ml fruity red wine
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with top and bottom heat. Wash, halve, and pit the plums.

    Wash the orange hot, dry it, and cut a thin strip of peel. Halve the fruit and squeeze out the juice. Peel the ginger and slice it thinly.

    Combine the plums, orange peel, orange juice, ginger, sugar, red wine, and cinnamon in a roasting dish. Bake for about 20 minutes.

    Serve warm or chilled, e.g., with vanilla ice cream if desired.
