Baked Onion with Spiced Ground Meat Filling

Ingredients
- 4 large vegetable onions
- Salt
- 150 g beef (e.g., hip)
- 100 g cheese (e.g., sheep)
- 2 sprigs thyme
- black pepper (ground)
- ground coriander
- ground cumin
- 1 splash dry white wine
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Peel the onions and cook them in salted water for about 10 minutes. Remove and drain. Cut off a lid from each onion and carefully hollow out the flesh with a teaspoon. Finely chop the hollowed onion meat.

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan. Grease a baking dish with oil.

Rinse the meat, pat dry, and dice it small. Combine with the chopped onions in a bowl. Dice the cheese and add. Remove leaves from thyme and mix in. Season with salt, pepper, coriander, and cumin, then fill the onions. Place them in the dish, cover with lids, pour wine over, and bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown. Serve the onions drizzled with balsamic.
