Ingredients
- Coconut oil (for frying)
- 30 lychees
- 175 g cornstarch
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions

Heat the fat to 180°C in a deep fryer or large pot.

Peel and pit the lychees, leaving the fruit whole.

Whisk together the cornstarch, baking powder, and 175 ml cold water until smooth. Beat the egg whites stiffly and fold into the mixture. Dip the lychees portion by portion into the batter and fry in the hot oil for about 2 minutes each. Drain baked lychees on paper towels and sprinkle with sesame seeds; serve immediately while hot.
