Baked Ciabatta Buns
Cheese‑covered ciabatta buns topped with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, olives and Serrano ham. Compared to other meats, Serrano ham is rightly considered low in calories.
Ingredients
- 400 g small tomatoes (10 small tomatoes)
- 125 g mozzarella
- 50 g green olives (pitted)
- 250 g ciabatta buns (for baking, 6 buns)
- Pepper
- 0.5 bunch arugula
- 50 g Serrano ham (thin slices)
Instructions
-
1.
Wash the tomatoes, cut off the stem ends and slice them into about 5 mm thick rounds.
-
2.
Drain the mozzarella and slice it thinly.
-
3.
Drain the olives and finely chop them.
-
4.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the buns horizontally in half and arrange them on the sheet.
-
5.
Sprinkle the olives over the buns, top with tomato slices and season with pepper. Distribute the mozzarella on top and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan, gas level 3) for about 15 minutes until golden.
-
6.
Meanwhile wash and dry the arugula. Slice the Serrano ham into fine strips. Arrange both the arugula and ham decoratively over the baked buns and serve immediately.
