Stuffed Meatballs

Try the stuffed meatballs with mustard or ketchup – juicy patties from Spoonsparrow perfect for burger enjoyment.

Ingredients

  • 1 old-fashioned whole wheat roll
  • 2 onions
  • 800 g ground beef
  • 2 Eggs
  • 75 g low-fat quark
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 6 tsp mustard
  • 6 tsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil

Instructions

    Soak the roll in lukewarm water.

    Peel and finely dice the onions.

  3. 3.

    Place the ground beef in a bowl. Squeeze out excess moisture from the roll, add it with eggs and quark to the meat, and mix thoroughly.

    Add the diced onions and fold them in.

  5. 5.

    Season with salt and pepper, then shape into 12 small patties using damp hands.

  6. 6.

    Fill two squeeze tubes with mustard and ketchup respectively, each having a small tip. Pinch a tiny hole into each patty with your finger and fill it with about 1 tsp of mustard or ketchup.

    Seal the meatballs with damp hands.

    Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes on each side over medium heat.
