Baked Chinese Cabbage

Baked Chinese cabbage is quick to make and provides plenty of vitamins.

Ingredients

  • 800 g Chinese cabbage
  • 30 g parmesan (30% fat in cream)
  • 200 g cooking cream
  • 200 g sour cream (20% fat)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 0.5 Red Onion
  • 1 handful edible flowers (optional for garnish)

Instructions

    Clean, wash, quarter the cabbage lengthwise and pat dry. Grate the Parmesan finely. In a baking dish combine cooking cream, sour cream, and Parmesan; season with salt and pepper.

    Place the cabbage quarters cut side up in the dish, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and chili powder, drizzle with olive oil, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) for 20–25 minutes. Meanwhile peel and finely dice the onion.

    Arrange the baked cabbage on a platter or plates, drizzle with sauce, and lightly sprinkle again with pepper and chili powder. Garnish with red onion cubes and, if desired, edible flowers.
