Baked Apples

Ingredients

  • 6 small apples (Boskop)
  • 30 g marzipan base
  • 50 g chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 10 g butter
  • 1 untreated orange
  • 30 g chopped pistachio nuts
  • 6 star anise
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • butter (for the pot)

Instructions

    Peel the apples and remove the core with a melon baller. Mix butter, hazelnuts, marzipan base and sugar, then fill the apples. Grate zest from the orange using a zester.

    Grease a ceramic dish well, place the apples in it and top with orange zest, pistachio nuts and star anise. Add 2 cinnamon sticks and bake in the oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. Serve in the pot.
