Bacon Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 kg wide green beans
  • Salt
  • 100 g through-cut bacon
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • coarse Sea salt
  • pepper (from grinder)

Instructions

    Wash the beans, pull out the strings and cut them smaller if desired. Boil in salted water for about 8 minutes until slightly firm.

    Meanwhile dice the bacon into small cubes and peel the garlic. Heat the oil in a large pan and crisp the bacon. Drain the beans, let them dry well, then add them to the pan. Add the garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes. Season with sea salt and pepper and serve.
