- 1 clove garlic (sliced)
- 1 lemon (unprocessed)

For a sage butter: for pasta, gnocchi & co. wash and pat dry the sage, then remove the leaves. Peel the garlic clove and slice it. Melt the butter in a small pan over low heat, letting it foam once. Add the sliced garlic and sage leaves, then take the pan off the heat. Season with salt to taste. Serve the sage butter separately or toss pasta in it.

For a spicy liquid lemon butter: for fried or grilled fish wash the lemon hot, pat dry and peel 2 tablespoons of zest strips using a zester. Melt the butter over low heat, letting it foam once, then remove from the heat. Let the lemon zest strips, ginger slice and chili pepper steep in it for about 5 minutes. Season with salt to taste.

For a sweet poppy seed butter: for dumplings & co. lightly toast the poppy seeds in a pan over low heat until fragrant. Remove the seeds and melt the butter in the same pan over low heat, letting it foam once and then take off the heat. Add the poppy seeds to the butter, season with 1 pinch of cinnamon and powdered sugar.
