- 1 apple
- 200 ml apple juice
- 400 ml dry white wine
- 4 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 star anise
- 40 ml white rum
- honey (to taste)

Wash the apple, quarter it, remove the core and cut eight very thin slices. Dice the remaining part finely and combine both with the apple juice, wine, 100 ml water, cloves, cinnamon, and star anise in a pot; heat gently without boiling. Let steep for about 10 minutes, then stir in the rum and sweeten with honey to taste.
