Apple Filled With Walnut Quark

A fresh apple filled with walnut quark is a delightful dessert featuring crisp apples and creamy filling.
Ingredients
- 2 sour firm apples
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 150 g quark
- 1 tbsp whipping cream
- 2 tbsp liquid honey
- 2 tbsp coarsely chopped walnuts
- 2 tbsp raisins
- honey (for garnish)
- Lemon balm (for garnish)
- powdered sugar (to dust)
Instructions

Wash the apples and pat dry, cut off a lid and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, leaving a rim. Drizzle the interior with lemon juice.

Place the apples in a greased baking dish and bake at 170 °C for about 10 minutes, then remove and let cool slightly.

Whisk quark and cream together with an electric mixer; fold in honey, then stir in walnuts and raisins, and spoon the mixture into the hollowed apples.

Arrange the filled apples on plates, pour remaining cream over them, sprinkle extra nuts and raisins decoratively, drizzle honey and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
