Ingredients

  • 125 g butter
  • 150 g whole cane sugar
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 50 g ground almonds
  • 180 g spelt flour
  • 1 kg apples
  • 150 g chopped almonds
  • 3 tbsp Raisins
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Add the butter to a bowl and mix well with whole cane sugar and cinnamon.

    Stir in the spelt flour and ground almonds until combined.

    Wash the apples, peel if desired, quarter them, remove cores, and slice into wedges. Mix the fruit with chopped almonds, raisins, and cinnamon, then transfer to a baking dish.

    Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the apples and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (160 °C fan) for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Remove the apple crumble with almonds from the oven and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
