Apple Chips with Chocolate
Apples and chocolate in a Spoonsparrow Art – almost fat‑free, yet rich in vitamins and the fiber pectin.
Ingredients
- 400 g apples (2 apples)
- 40 g chocolate
Instructions
-
1.
Wash the apples, dry them, quarter and core. Slice thinly with a vegetable peeler.
-
2.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the apple slices on it. Place in a preheated oven on the middle rack; keep the door slightly ajar with a wooden spoon and let the apple slices dry at 60 °C (convection: 40 °C, gas: level 1) for about 2 hours.
-
3.
Finely chop the chocolate. Remove the apple chips from the oven, sprinkle them with chocolate, and return to the oven. Let the chocolate melt at 80 °C (convection: 60 °C, gas: level 1).
-
4.
Turn off the oven and let the apple chips cool slowly inside. Serve about a quarter immediately as a snack. Store the rest in an airtight container and consume within the next four days.
