Apple Bread with Hazelnuts

The Apple Bread with Hazelnuts from Spoonsparrow is perfect for Advent and Christmas coffee!

Ingredients

  • 400 g apples
  • 75 g coconut blossom sugar
  • 150 g hazelnut kernels
  • 60 g raisins
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 250 g spelt whole‑grain flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 5 g Butter (1 tsp)

Instructions

    Wash, halve and core the apples. Grate finely into a bowl and mix with the sugar.

    Add the apple mixture to hazelnuts, raisins, cocoa, cinnamon, flour and baking powder and stir well.

    Brush a 24 cm loaf pan with butter and pour in the dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan; gas: level 3) for about 50 minutes (test with a skewer). Remove the apple bread with hazelnuts, let cool, slice and serve.
