American-Style Peach Casserole

- 3 peaches (blanched, halved, pitted)
- 150 ml peach nectar
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 150 g flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tbsp butter
- butter flakes
- Cinnamon

Grease a baking dish and arrange the peach halves on it. In a saucepan bring peach juice with cornstarch and cinnamon to a boil, stirring until thickened. Then stir in flour, baking powder, and butter into the still-warm mixture until a sticky dough forms; add more flour if needed.

Spoon the dough over the peaches. Top with butter flakes and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 30 minutes.
