The almond-flaxseed porridge with kiwis from Spoonsparrow brings plenty of vital nutrients into the breakfast bowl.

Ingredients

  • 180 g oatmeal
  • 40 g oatmeal (for garnish)
  • 500 ml almond drink (almond milk)
  • 30 g almond flakes (2 tbsp)
  • 30 g flaxseeds (3 tbsp)
  • 2 large kiwis (≈100 g each)
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

    Add 180 g oatmeal, 500 ml water and almond drink to a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring regularly. Reduce heat to low and simmer the porridge for 6–9 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.

    Meanwhile, toast 40 g oatmeal with almond flakes in a hot dry pan over medium heat for 3 minutes, then chop into small pieces for garnish.

    Before serving, stir flaxseeds into the porridge and spoon onto four servings. Peel and dice kiwis. Drizzle the porridge with maple syrup and sprinkle with kiwi cubes and oat‑almond mixture.
