Air Fryer Asparagus

Quick and tasty asparagus from the air fryer with a crispy cheese crust – perfect for spring!

Ingredients

  • 500 g white asparagus
  • 30 g Grana Padano
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 tbsp whole wheat breadcrumbs (15 g each)
  • 4 tbsp spelt flour type 630 (15 g each)
  • Salt
  • a small handful parsley

Instructions

    Peel, wash, and trim the woody ends of the asparagus.

    Grate the Grana Padano finely for breading. Beat the eggs in a shallow dish. Mix breadcrumbs and grated cheese in another dish. Put flour with a pinch of salt on a third dish. Coat each spear first in flour, then dip in egg, and finally roll in the breadcrumb mixture. Place the coated spears in an air fryer lined with parchment paper at 195 °C for 12 minutes.

    Meanwhile, wash, dry, and finely chop the parsley. Remove the asparagus from the air fryer, arrange on a plate, and sprinkle with parsley.
