Ingredients

  • 8 carrots
  • 4 tbsp plant oil
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 250 g honey
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

    Peel the carrots and slice them thin or grate them. In hot oil sauté for about 5 minutes. Add sugar, sauté briefly, then deglaze with water.

    Ensure the carrots are covered. Bring to a boil, season with honey, salt, and pepper, cover and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour. Then increase temperature, remove the lid, and let the liquid evaporate until the carrots are glazed.
