Young Potatoes with Bavarian Cheese Dip (Obatzda)

Ingredients

  • 500 g waxy young potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 250 g ripe Bavarian Camembert
  • 100 g butter
  • 50 g plain cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tsp Caraway seeds
  • Salt
  • ground pepper

    Wash the potatoes and boil them in salted water for 20-25 minutes until tender. Peel and finely chop the onion. Mash the Camembert with a fork and mix it with butter and cream cheese.

    Add the chopped onion, paprika powder, and caraway seeds to the mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Serve the Obatzda in small bowls, garnish with chives, and pair with the cooked potatoes.
