The whole‑grain sandwich with tomato‑bean cream from Spoonsparrow is always good.

Ingredients

  • 1 can white beans (drained weight; 200g)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 5 marinated sun‑dried tomatoes (jar)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 240 g small whole‑grain bread slice (8 small whole‑grain slices)
  • 2 stalks basil

Instructions

    Rinse beans cold and drain. Peel garlic and finely chop.

  2. 2.

    Blend beans, tomatoes and 2–3 tbsp of the jar liquid until smooth. Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.

    Spread the tomato‑bean cream on four bread slices. Wash basil, pat dry, tear leaves and sprinkle over the spread. Cover with remaining bread slices.
