- 1 loaf Parisienne (about 20 cm long) or Ciabatta or another rustic white bread
- 4 tbsp almond slivers
- 125 g goat cheese
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt
- white pepper
- 2 sprigs Basil
- 3 tbsp liquid honey

Turn on the oven grill. Slice the Parisienne diagonally into 2-3 cm thick slices. Place the bread slices side by side on the oven rack and roast on the second level from above for 1-2 minutes until crisp. Flip the slices and roast another 1-2 minutes. Toast the almond slivers in a dry pan over medium heat, shaking occasionally, for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Season the goat cheese with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Wash the basil, shake off excess water and pluck the leaves. Tear larger leaves into smaller pieces if desired. Spread the seasoned goat cheese onto the toasted bread slices. Decoratively scatter the browned almond slivers on top and sprinkle with basil. Drizzle liquid honey over everything.
