Ingredients

  • 300 g flour
  • 100 ml milk (1.5 % fat)
  • 40 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp fat
  • Salt

Instructions

    Beat the flour with warm salted water or with the milk using a wooden spoon into a smooth dough. Cut this from the edge of a board with a knife into very thin strips and drop them into boiling salted water.

    Let the water spätzle simmer slowly for 10 minutes; then strain, shock in cold water, toss in toasted breadcrumbs, and reheat in the oven.
