Vegetable Soup for Kids

The vegetable soup for kids from Spoonsparrow is a great recipe for the whole family and children can help while cooking.
Ingredients
- 150 g kohlrabi
- 1 bundle spring onions
- 3 sprigs thyme
- 600 ml Vegetable Broth
- 1 Zucchini
- 2 carrots
- 80 g frozen peas
- 50 g pasta
- Salt
- 80 g cooked ham
- 4 slices baguette
- 3 tsp ricotta
- 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan

Peel and chop the kohlrabi. Trim, wash and slice the spring onions into thin rings; rinse and shake dry the thyme. Simmer the kohlrabi, spring onions, and thyme with the broth in a pot for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, trim, wash and dice or finely slice the zucchini. Peel and finely dice the carrots. Add the vegetables, peas, and pasta to the broth and simmer for another 8 minutes. Remove the thyme and season the soup with salt.

Dice the ham into small cubes and warm it in the vegetable soup. Ladle the soup into bowls, toast the baguette slices on top of the soup, and add a dollop of ricotta and parmesan to each bowl.
