Vegetable Cake
Kuchen muss nicht immer süß sein! Probieren Sie mal den Gemüsekuchen von Spoonsparrow – herzhaft, voller Nährstoffe und richtig lecker!
Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 125 g butter
- 2 yolks
- 500 g broccoli
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 eggs
- 80 g grated Emmental cheese
- salt (pepper)

Sift the flour onto a work surface. Place cold butter in small pieces around the edge, cut through everything with a knife and knead with the yolks until a ball forms. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Divide broccoli into equal florets, wash, blanch in boiling salted water for 3 minutes, shock in ice water, drain well. Halve the pepper, remove seeds, wash and dice the flesh. Roll out dough on a floured surface, fill a 28 cm quiche pan, press edges, pierce bottom with a fork. Spread pepper and broccoli over the base. Whisk cream with eggs, season with salt and pepper, pour over filling. Preheat oven to 220°C.

Sprinkle cheese over the vegetable cake and bake for about 30 minutes until golden yellow.
