Veal Skewers with Paprika Sauce

Ingredients
- 500 g veal cutlets
- 0.25 bunch basil
- 1 small red chili pepper
- 4 tbsp oil
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 600 g red bell peppers
- 2 fresh hot chilies
- 1 small onion
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 Garlic clove
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 12 grill skewers
Instructions

Cut the veal into strips about 3 cm wide and 6 cm long, thread them onto skewers, season with salt and pepper, then place in a shallow bowl.

Wash the basil, shake dry, pick off leaves and chop finely. Wash the chili, deseed if desired, finely chop, mix with chopped basil and oil, pour over the skewers, let marinate for about 20 minutes. Grill the meat skewers on a hot grill all around for about 6–8 minutes until cooked.

Arrange the meat skewers on a plate and serve with paprika sauce.

Wash the peppers, peel with a vegetable peeler, halve, deseed, and chop finely. Wash the chilies, halve, deseed, and finely chop. Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat oil in a pot, sauté the onion until soft. Add crushed garlic. Mix in pepper and chili pieces, cover, and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. Puree the sauce and season with salt and pepper.
