Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 vanilla pods
  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g peeled almond kernels
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Slice the vanilla pods lengthwise and scrape out the seeds into the sugar. Quickly knead the flour with soft butter, 70 g of vanilla sugar, and the almonds into a dough, shape it into a ball, wrap in foil, and chill for at least 30 minutes.

    Roll the dough into a log, cut into 2 cm pieces, shape into crescents, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 175 °C for 10 minutes, then carefully lift from the tray and roll in the remaining sugar.
