Ingredients
- 200 g Flour
- 100 g cold butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 egg
- 750 g apples
- 75 g butter
- 200 g sugar
Instructions
-
1.
Sift the flour onto a work surface, mix in salt and sugar, then press a well into the center. Cut the cold butter into small pieces and distribute around the well; place the egg in the middle and cut through all ingredients with a knife to create small dough crumbs. Quickly knead the mixture by hand into a dough, shape it into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill for about 30 minutes.
-
2.
Wash the apples, core them, and slice them thinly.
-
3.
Grease a tart pan with 50 g butter. Sprinkle a thick layer of sugar (about 100 g) over the butter and arrange the apple slices in layers on top of the sugar.
-
4.
Heat the baking dish over medium heat for several minutes; when the sugar begins to caramelize, remove it from the heat, let it cool briefly, then sprinkle the remaining sugar and scatter the rest of the butter in small flakes over the apples.
-
5.
Roll out the dough, place it over the fruit layer, and press the edges down into the pan.
-
6.
Bake the tart in a preheated oven at 225 °C for about 30 minutes. Remove it, flip onto a serving plate, and serve warm with whipped cream.
