Sweet Potato Mash

Ingredients

  • 800 g sweet potatoes
  • Salt
  • 150 ml milk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 Shallot
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • ground nutmeg

Instructions

    Cook sweet potatoes in salted water for about 30 minutes until tender. Peel them, then mash with hot milk and 2 tbsp butter to a creamy, slightly chunky consistency; adjust milk amount if needed.

    Peel the shallot, finely dice it, and sauté in remaining butter. Fold the sautéed shallot into the mash, season with salt, pepper, and freshly grated nutmeg, and serve.
