Swedish Christmas Bread

Ingredients
- 75 g butter
- 75 g beet syrup
- 350 ml malt beer
- 1 cube fresh yeast
- 600 g rye flour
- 0.25 tsp cloves powder
- 0.25 tsp cinnamon powder
- 0.25 tsp Ginger powder
- 200 g raisins

Instructions

Melt the butter with the syrup in a pot and let it cool to lukewarm. Add the beer and crumble the yeast into it, stirring until dissolved. Mix the flour with the spices, salt, and raisins; place in a bowl and press a well in the center.

Slowly pour the yeasted beer into the mixture and knead with the dough hooks of an electric hand mixer until smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C (Oven + fan). Grease a loaf pan and dust it with flour.

Shape the dough into a loaf, place it in the pan, score a chessboard pattern with a knife, and brush with cold water. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes.
