Ingredients
- 150 g ready-made sushi rice
- vinegar water (for shaping)
- 150 g fresh wild salmon fillet
- 1 tsp wasabi
- 1 piece red daikon radish (or radishes)
- dill sprigs (for garnish)
- soy sauce (for serving)
Instructions
-
1.
Divide the sushi rice into 8 portions and shape each portion into a small ball or elongated oval with wet hands in vinegar water.
-
2.
Slice the wild salmon fillet into 8 as flat slices as possible, spread a little wasabi on one side of each slice, and place it in your hand. Place one rice ball on the wasabi‑coated side of the salmon, press lightly, using the tip of your left thumb to keep the shape. Flip the nigiri sushi and reshape with two fingers if needed. Repeat for the remaining salmon nigiri. Arrange on a plate.
-
3.
Clean, wash or peel the daikon radish and grate or cut into very thin strips. Sprinkle some daikon strips over the nigiri sushi and garnish with a dill sprig. Serve with soy sauce.
