Ingredients

  • 4 large vegetable onions
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 200 g mixed ground meat
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream (at least 30% fat content)
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 100 ml meat broth

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) with upper and lower heat. Peel the onions and cook them in lightly salted water for about 10 minutes, then remove and drain. Cut off a lid from each onion and hollow out the interior with a small spoon; slightly chop half of this onion pulp.

    Melt 2 tbsp butter. Sauté the chopped onion pulp until translucent, add the ground meat, brown well, and season with salt and pepper. Stir in the cream and finely chopped parsley. Fill the onions with the mixture, place them in a small greased baking dish, pour over the meat broth. Cover with foil and bake at medium heat for about 25 minutes.
