Stuffed Flatbread

Provides well-utilized protein from chicken meat and yogurt, while the zinc in the meat boosts the immune system.

Ingredients

  • 2 leaves of iceberg lettuce
  • 4 stalks of flat-leaf parsley
  • 100 g yogurt (1.5% fat)
  • 0.5 tsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp medium-hot mustard
  • 0.25 tsp paprika powder (rosenscharf)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 100 g cooked chicken breast fillet (pre‑cooked)
  • 60 g small pita bread (one small pita)

Instructions

    Wash salad leaves, shake dry and cut into large pieces. Wash parsley, shake dry, finely chop the leaves.

    Whisk yogurt with oil, mustard, paprika powder, salt, pepper and parsley. Cut chicken meat into thin strips or small cubes.

    Cut the pita bread horizontally so that it still holds together at the back edge. Brush the cut surfaces with a little yogurt sauce.

    Fill the pita flatbread with salad, chicken meat and remaining yogurt sauce, gently press together. Eat immediately.
