Strawberry-Cherry Compote

Spoonsparrow strawberry-cherry compote is always delicious!
Ingredients
- 250 g cherries
- 200 g strawberries
- 200 ml cherry juice (or currant juice)
- 3 tbsp Lemon juice
- 0.5 Vanilla pod
- 15 g cornstarch (1 tbsp)
- 40 g yogurt (3.5% fat) (2 tbsp)
- 10 g almond slivers (1 tbsp)
Instructions

Wash and drain cherries and strawberries. Pit the cherries. Clean the strawberries and cut into halves or quarters if desired.

Heat 150 ml fruit juice and lemon juice in a saucepan. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise, add it to the liquid, and bring to a boil.

Stir the remaining juice with cornstarch, pour into the pan, stir, and let thicken slightly over low heat before removing from the stove.

Fold in the fruits and allow to cool for a few minutes.

Remove the vanilla pod. Serve warm or cold in four bowls, garnished with yogurt and almond slivers.
