Ingredients

  • 350 g flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 250 g cold butter
  • 2 tbsp chocolate shavings (30% cocoa content)
  • 30 g powdered sugar
  • 250 g raspberry jam

Instructions

    Mix the flour with the baking powder, cinnamon and brown sugar. On a baking board pile it up and place the butter in pieces around it. Add the chocolate shavings and quickly knead everything into a smooth dough. Shape into a ball, wrap in cling film and chill in the refrigerator for half an hour. Preheat the oven to 180°C fan. Line some baking trays with parchment paper. Then roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 4 mm thickness.

    Cut hearts and stars as desired and, for the larger shapes, cut a smaller heart or star in the middle of each. Place on the prepared trays and bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Remove and cool on a rack. Dust the cookies with powdered sugar through a small hole in the center of the top side. Heat the raspberry jam in a small pot until liquid. Spread the jam over all hearts and stars, then assemble them with their matching counterpart. Let cool and store dry.
