Ingredients

  • 500 g fresh spinach
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 200 g sheep cheese
  • 200 g Sour Cream
  • 1 egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 400 g filo dough (filo sheets)

Instructions

    Clean, wash and drain the spinach. Peel and finely chop the garlic and onion. Sauté in oil, add spinach and let it wilt.

    Drain well and let cool slightly before chopping again. Grate the cheese and fold into the spinach mixture. Place two filo sheets on a parchment‑lined tray, spread the spinach‑cheese blend over them.

    Whisk sour cream with egg, salt and pepper; pour over the cheese layer. Top loosely with remaining filo sheets, folding edges together.

    Brush dough tips with water. Heat remaining oil in a pan, brush the top surface of the dough, bake at 200 °C for about 20‑30 minutes until golden brown, slice and serve hot.
