Ingredients

  • 1 red chili pepper
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 500 g small broccoli florets
  • Salt
  • 400 g orecchiette pasta
  • 3 sardines (canned in oil)
  • 2 slices old ciabatta bread
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • pepper (ground)

    Wash and finely chop the chili pepper. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Clean the broccoli and blanch it in boiling salted water for 5 minutes. Drain, rinse with cold water, and let drain well.

    Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente.

    Drain the sardines and cut them into small pieces. Roughly crumble the bread in a blender. In a hot pan with oil, sauté the garlic with the chili, then add the broccoli, sardines, and bread; stir briefly, season with salt and pepper. Add the drained pasta, stir again, and serve on preheated plates.
