Spicy Fig Salad

Try the spicy fig salad with Manchego from Spoonsparrow. The light salad is suitable as a lunch for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 250 g small oranges (2 small oranges)
  • 120 g ripe figs (2 ripe figs)
  • 2 sprigs lemon thyme
  • 10 g Manchego (1 piece)
  • Pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

    Peel the oranges so that all of the white pith is removed.

    Using a sharp, small knife, cut the orange segments between the membranes in a bowl.

  3. 3.

    Wash, clean and slice the figs into wedges. In a second bowl gently mix them with the orange segments.

    Wash the lemon thyme and shake dry. Remove the leaves and finely chop. Mix under the fruit and let it rest for 5 minutes.

    Meanwhile shave the Manchego into very thin strips with a vegetable peeler. Sprinkle freshly ground pepper over the fig salad, arrange the cheese on top and serve.
