Spicy Chicken with Mashed Potatoes, Tomatoes and Garlic

Ingredients
- 600 g starchy potatoes
- Salt
- 1 chicken (pre-cooked, ca. 1.4 kg)
- pepper (ground)
- 100 g turkey bacon (sliced)
- 2 onions
- 0.5 head of garlic
- 200 ml dry white wine
- 250 ml poultry stock
- 2 sprigs Rosemary
- 8 tomatoes
- 2 tbsp butter
- 150 ml lukewarm milk
- Nutmeg (freshly grated)

Peel, wash and boil the potatoes in salted water for about 30 minutes.

Wash the chicken, pat dry, cut into 8 pieces, season with salt and pepper. Slice the bacon into thin strips and render them in a hot pan without oil. Brown the chicken pieces all around. Dice the onions finely, crush the garlic cloves, add both to the chicken. Sauté briefly, add rosemary, deglaze with wine, pour in stock, season again and simmer over medium heat for about 45 minutes.

Wash, quarter, core and dice the tomatoes, add them about 15 minutes before the end of cooking.

Drain the potatoes, let them steam dry, mash through a potato masher and blend with butter and milk into a smooth purée. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Taste the chicken sauce, plate the chicken and purée on warmed plates and serve immediately.
