Spiced Tea with Fig‑Sesame Slice

Ingredients
- 1 cardamom pod
- 1 clove of mace
- 1 tsp black tea (e.g., Darjeeling)
- 5 g honey (1 tsp)
- 80 ml milk (1.5% fat)
- 50 g fresh fig (1 fresh fig)
- a pinch of cinnamon
- 3 g sesame seeds (1 tsp)
- 80 g yeast loaf (1 slice)
Instructions

Bring cardamom, mace and 200 ml water to a boil in a small pot. Add tea leaves, honey and milk. Bring to a second boil, then simmer gently for 4 minutes.

Meanwhile wash the fig, pat dry, remove the stem base and cut into large pieces.

Add a pinch of cinnamon to a bowl. Blend with an immersion blender or mash finely with a fork.

Toast sesame seeds in a small pan until golden brown. Transfer to a small plate and let cool.

Pour the spiced tea through a tea strainer into a glass or cup. Spread fig‑mus on the yeast loaf slice, sprinkle sesame on top, and serve with the tea.
