Spiced Tea

Spoonsparrow spiced tea: highly recommended and hot in every way. The aromatic spiced tea warms and boosts metabolism.

Ingredients

  • 15 g ginger (1 piece)
  • 1 tsp black tea leaves
  • 1 cardamom pod
  • 1 clove of nutmeg
  • a pinch of black pepper
  • a pinch of anise
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 100 ml milk (1.5% fat)
  • liquid sweetener (to taste)
  • 1 star anise

Instructions

    Peel the ginger and finely grate or chop it very finely.

    Bring water, tea leaves, cardamom, nutmeg, a pinch of pepper and anise, cinnamon stick, and 150 ml water to a boil in a pot. Simmer over low heat for 3 minutes.

    Add milk and simmer for another 3-4 minutes. Strain into a cup or teacup. Sweeten with liquid sweetener to taste and garnish with the star anise.
