Ingredients

  • 600 ml Milk
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 30 g sugar
  • 40 ml cognac
  • 4 cloves
  • 0.5 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom pods
  • 40 g chopped almonds
  • 40 g raisins

Instructions

    Mix the cocoa powder with the sugar and whisk in 2 tbsp of milk until smooth. Bring the remaining milk to a boil, then stir in the dissolved cocoa with a whisk, bring it to a boil once more, and remove from heat.

    Stir the cognac and spices into the cocoa and let steep for about 2 hours. Then strain through a sieve and reheat.
