Ingredients

  • 60 g soft butter
  • 70 g cane sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 60 g sour cream
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 30 whole cloves
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

    Beat the butter and sugar until creamy, then stir in the egg yolk and sour cream.

    Combine flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt, cinnamon, clove powder, and allspice; add to the butter mixture and quickly knead into a smooth dough.

    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a teaspoon, scoop walnut‑sized portions of dough, shape them into small balls with dampened hands, and place on the prepared sheet.

    Press one whole spice clove into the center of each cookie. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (center rack) for about 15 minutes, remove, and let cool slightly. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
